CCG (Columbus Consolidated Government) Speechmasters is a Toastmasters International Club. We are a nonprofit organization that allow members to practice and hone their communication and leadership skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

CCG Speechmaster's Toastmaster's Club
Our club is dedicated to making public speaking fun. We want you to gain confidence and experience in preparing and giving speeches. In our meetings we provide a pleasant and supportive environment. Our members are people just like you who want to become better communicators and leaders.
Speechmasters is a member of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization that has more than 260,000 members in over 12,500 clubs in 113 countries. Notable Toastmasters alumni include Debbie Fields (founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies), Linda Lingle (Governor of Hawaii), Chris Matthews (host of Hardball with Chris Matthews), and Leonard Nimoy (Spock from Star Trek).
Toastmasters' uses a “learn by doing” approach to improving communication and leadership skills. Each meeting is conducted by the members. There is no instructor. Whether you give a speech or have an assigned role you will be critiqued by a fellow member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.

Speechmasters meet on the first and third Thursday of every month at 12:00 PM. Meetings are held in the Learning Center (Government Center, East Wing – 2nd Floor).
Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization. Being a member will help you improve your public speaking, leadership and communication skills. You'll also gain insight on leading teams and conducting meetings.
The Columbus Consolidated Government Speechmasters Club is an open club. Anyone can join.
