Community Connection

Project LifeSaver/Autism Awareness

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office is a proud participant in the Project Lifesaver program, which provides tracking bands to individuals with cognitive impairments that make them subject to wandering off. We have deputies trained and equipped to locate these individuals. Along with our community partners, we are proud to offer these bands at no costs to the families. We also are a proud community partner for Autism Awareness. We have an Autism car, Autism badges, and provide Care Cards to those in the community who may be non-verbal or otherwise unable to communicate effectively with law enforcement. To learn more, call 706-225-4225.

National Faith and Blue Initiative

Faith & Blue was launched to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships among law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations. The initiative aims to re-calibrate police-community relations through solutions-focused, in-person, socially distanced and/or virtual activities that are organized jointly by faith-based or other community groups and law enforcement agencies.
