Bring 2 cups of dry soil to the extension office. You will need to fill out your address and crop. (i.e., What are you growing or wanting to grow in this soil? Please be as specific as possible with type of grass, flowers, or vegetables).
Testing includes: pH, P, , Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn, and LR. You may also request testing for Boron, Organic Matter, Soluble Salts, Nitrate, or Greenhouse/Nursery Test (Artificial Mixes Only).
The cost of testing is $9.00 per sample. Please make checks payable to: ANR Fund. Results will be mailed to you within two weeks.
Bring 1 quart of water to the extension office. If your water sources is a well, you will need to know the well depth (in feet) and the well casing diameter (in inches).
The basic test includes: pH, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, A1, B, Cu, Zn, Na, Cd, Ni, Cr, and Mo. You may also request Nitrate (NO3), Lead (Pb), or other tests.
